The time to uncover the secrets of the Lost City of Un’Goro is almost upon us! With the next Hearthstone expansion launching on July 8, now’s the time to grab your gear and answer the call to adventure. Watch your favorite creators, witness Dinos vs. Tortollans, build some decks, and join in the fun yourself in the Pre-Release Tavern Brawl. It’ll be the adventure of a lifetime!
Dinos vs. Tortollans! (June 13)
With the new Hearthstone expansion taking us back to the Un’Goro Crater where dinosaurs and Tortollans thrive, we’re celebrating by hosting a friendly competition between them IN REAL LIFE! Well, sort of. We’re about 365 million years late to do this with the real thing, so we’re choosing lizards to represent the Dinos and turtles the Tortollans—and then having them face off in a contest of Dinos vs. Tortollans! The competition consists of three events: racing, eating, and climbing. (Yes, turtles can climb!) Whichever reptile racer scores the most wins will be declared the victor. Will you be rooting for the daring Dinos or the totally awesome Tortollans?
No matter which side triumphs, you will be the real winner by claiming two free card packs from the upcoming expansion, The Lost City of Un’Goro. Join commentators TJ Salamanders and Derodactyl Brown for the livestream broadcast June 13 at 9:30 am PT on Twitch and YouTube. Viewers can claim the drop from either platform (not both). Please note that no animals will be harmed during this production. Each animal will be well-cared for by its own personal handler, and we’ve ensured the participants enjoy all three of the competition activities.
Theorycrafting Streams with Drops (June 26-27)
Join your favorite content creators as they embark on their journey to the Lost City of Un’Goro and theorycraft the new expansion. Featured players will be participating on their own personal streams, so make sure you’re following your favorite creators when they go live!
- NA/LATAM/EMEA players will play on June 26, 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. (PDT)
- APAC players will play on June 27, 2:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. (PDT)
All participants need to include at least 10 The Lost City of Un’Goro cards in their decks (that can be 10 individual cards, 5 duplicates, or anything in between).
Adventure awaits! Your favorite casters will be returning for their Theorycasting stream on the official Hearthstone Twitch channel. Join them as they watch our theorycrafters map out their creations, casting over games across participating players.
Sottle, Lorinda, Edelweiss, and Raven will be Theorycasting on June 26, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (PDT)
Twitch Drops will be enabled category-wide from June 26, 9:00 a.m. to June 27, 9:00 a.m. (PDT), so you can watch any Hearthstone stream you’d like to earn up to 2 The Lost City of Un’Goro packs (make sure you link your Twitch and Battle.net accounts so that your viewing time counts towards the drops). On top of that, participating streams will have Pre-Purchase Mega Bundle codes to give away to their audiences during the event!
Rarran's Rumble (June 28)
Get ready to rumble with Rarran! Eight of your favorite TCG streamers are coming together for a brawl of prehistoric proportions. They’ll split into four teams of two and build decks using cards from the upcoming Hearthstone expansion, The Lost City of Un’Goro. Viewers will get a sneak peek at powerful Quests and deadly dinosaurs featured in the new set. Using Conquest Format rules, the contestants will face off in pairs until the dust settles and a winner is decided. It’s gonna be dino-mite!
The teams are Rarran and CovertGoBlue, Voxy and AmyTheAmazonian, Roffle and Day9, and Nyhmnim and Cimoooooooo. Which paleontological pair will you be rooting for? Catch the Rarran’s Rumble broadcast on Twitch and YouTube June 28 at 10 am PT. Twitch drops will be enabled for viewers to claim two The Lost City of Un’Goro packs!
Pre-Release Tavern Brawl (July 1-8)
Starting with Patch 33.0, uncover the Lost City of Un’Goro early in the returning Pre-Release Tavern Brawl. Open your The Lost City of Un’Goro packs early, build a deck, compete in a mini-competition, and earn prizes from the new expansion!
All players will get one entry into the Pre-Release Tavern Brawl for free. After that, each entry will cost 2 Tavern Tickets, 300 Gold, or 400 Runestones. On each run, lock in a deck and play until you get either 6 wins or 3 losses and earn more new cards based on how well you do!
In this Pre-Release Tavern Brawl, we are adjusting the eligible card pool to be the Core Set, the Event Set, Into the Emerald Dream, Embers of the World Tree Mini-set, and The Lost City of Un’Goro. Note that Creature of Madness and Hamuul Runetotem will be banned. The card pool will also include a selection of cards from other sets to help support some of the new Quests and cards from The Lost City of Un’Goro expansion:
- Hunter: Painted Cavasaur, Toyrannosaurus
- Priest: Nightshade Tea, Orbital Halo, Silvermoon Brochure
- Rogue: Agency Espionage, Adaptive Amalgam
